Selection Process of Bihar BTSC Staff Nurse Vacancy 2025
- Selection Process: The Selection of candidates will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the online computer based competitive examination and experience.
(i) Merit List Preparation for Selection: The merit list for selection will be prepared in the following manner:
(a) Online Computer Based Test: 75 Marks full marks for the online computer based examination will be 75. The question paper will be of objective type (multiple choice).
(B) Marks for Experience in Government Hospitals/Government Institutions/Government Scheme/Health Institutions run by Government-aided Societies/Registered Private Hospitals: 25 Marks for experience in the aforementioned institutions, a maximum of 25 marks will be awarded. For each completed year of experience, 05 marks will given. Fractions of a year will not be considered.
Total Marks: 100 Marks
Note:
(i) It will be mandatory for candidates to obtain minimum qualifying marks in the online computer based examination. The minimum qualifying marks will be 40% for unreserved category. 36.5% for backward class 34% for extremely backward class, and 32% for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Women/Persons with Disabilities (Divyang).
(ii) The online computer based examination will be conducted for all eligible candidates.
(iii) Examination Scheme:
(a) The question paper for the competitive examination will consist of a total of 100 question. All question will be of objective (multiple choice) type.
(b) The duration of the examination will be two hours, and the total marks will be 100.
(c) The syllabus for the examination will be based on the prescribed curriculum for General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.). Detailed syllabus will be published separately on the website of the commission.
(d) The online computer based examination may be conducted in multiple shifts. Due to this, the method of normalization of marks will be adopted to ensure fairness in the evaluation of results.
(e) There will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the examination. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
(f) The process of normalization of marks will be adopted for all candidates appearing in the examination.
(g) Regarding the relaxation in the qualifying marks for extremely backward class and backward class, as per the Department of Health, Government of Bihar’s letter no- 2374, dated 16.07.2007, and General Administration Department, Bihar’s letter no- 962, dated 22.01.2021, the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination will be 40% for unreserved category, 36.5% for backward class, 34% for extremely backward class, and 32% for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, women, and persons with disabilities (Divyang).
Note: Candidates who do not obtain the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the competitive examination will not be included in any merit list.
(iv) The format for the experience certificate is attached as Annexure-1. Only experience certificates issued in this format will be considered for awarding marks for experience and age relaxation. Experience certificates issued in any other format will not be eligible for marks or age relaxation.
(v) As per the rules, candidates who qualify in the written competitive examination will be invited for document verification based on the category-wise merit list prepared according to the provisions mentioned in clause-5(i) of the advertisement.
